Dr. Luu D. Ireland serves as an assistant professor of obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Massachusetts (UMass) Medical School. She has her clinical practice through the UMass Memorial Medical Center, where she provides a comprehensive range of services from obstetrics and delivery to contraception for women with complex medical histories. Fellowship-trained in family planning, Dr. Luu D. Ireland has clinical expertise in miscarriage management and management of abnormal pregnancies. She offers general contraception services as well as contraception for postpartum women and those with complex medical situations.

Dr. Luu D. Ireland balances her clinical and academic work with service as part of UMass's Ryan Residency Program, which offers family planning training to medical students and residents. For students at UMass Medical School, she serves in the Learning Communities mentorship program.

Dr. Luu D. Ireland holds a master of public health (MPH) from the Mailman School of Public Health at Columbia University as well as a medical degree from the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. She completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University and the Women and Infants Hospital of Rhode Island, where she stood out as a three-time recipient of the Excellence in Teaching Award.
