Mwiinga Chileshe (born 4 June 2001), popularly known as Lwalest, is a Zambian rapper, singer and songwriter. Lwalest is an independent artist, fierce rapper and performer currently working to penetrate the music industry both locally and internationally.
Lwalest started music at a very tender age, and was a member of a music club at school and singing band at church. This childhood experience helped to shape his musical journey and as a teenager he was already writing his own music and performing at various school functions
and church.
Prior to he’s high school graduation, he decided to start recording music at Cool Sounds where he released a couple of songs which include Grind, Ntaluka and Crazy Blood. In January 2022, he joined EM’s Music Box and Last Music Enter10ment and partnered up with
The Ruling to release Hope Tukabafye Bonse (under the name SuperMajor Zambia), Ukufumina Impiya, Malewa etc. Because of issues surrounding the name SuperMajor Zambia, he's name was changed to Lwalest.
His style of music is not just limited to Rap but is also influenced by Dancehall, Afro and Dunka. The melodic mix creates a distinctive sound that intrigues and transports his listeners. His competitive and fierce nature always puts him on top, making him a promising international artist.
He’s currently working on building his professional career with new singles on the way. He plans to release most of his work in 2023. He says his certain that his songs will bring new life to the music industry and that he will live up to the expectations of his fans.
