By the time I reached the end of grade school my cold winter Central Montana nights were filled with the adventures I shared with characters such as Huck Finn, Tom Sawyer, and Scout Finch. By High School I journeyed with Scarlett O’Hare, the twins Camaron and Raistlin Majere, and Jimmy the Hand. For as long as I can remember I have loved to read and write stories. My High School English teacher was the first person to mention I had a talent for writing. Three decades of life kept my passion for writing tucked away in dusty folders and binders. It was not until my dying mother reminded me that dreams only come true with some elbow grease that I accepted it was time to follow my passion. Determined to honor her memory, and fulfill my dream, I returned to Salt Lake to begin my own quest toward becoming a professional writer. It started by learning the craft from my idols Tracy and Laura Hickman. Followed by countless hours of writing to “find my voice”. In less than 5 years I am proud to say I have 18 stories dispersed throughout 10 anthologies, 5 of which are award winning stories, a progressive fantasy, and 2 full length novels to my credit. When I am not working, or writing, I can be found supporting my two sons in their BBQ endeavors, or spending time with three busy granddaughters. My favorite past time is still reading though NASCAR, football, and the History Channel come in close behind.
