With 20+ years of expertise in fundraising and education leadership, I have the privilege of serving as a trusted consultant in nonprofit and workforce sectors. My passion centers around connecting organizations to the resources they need for advancing vital economic and community development goals. I focus on serving the clients needs through team building, coaching and developing fundraising and grant development personnel, and providing strategic planning assistance to C-Suite leadership teams. My mission is to help organizations build creative and strategic solutions that are effective and sustainable.
As the Special Assistant to the Vice President for Strategic Initiatives & Social Justice and Sponsored Programs & Research Director for Tougaloo College, I oversee the research development enterprise for the College for all federal and state sponsored programs supporting proposal development and submission (pre-award) and research administration (post-award).
As a Senior Associate and Chief Advancement Officer for Youngblood & Associates, LLC, I supervise a talented team of consultants in addition to delivering direct client services consulting in education, nonprofit and workforce sectors with a speciality in Minority Serving Institutions and Emerging Research Institutions. I take the lead role in ensuring that our products and services support the strategic fundraising and grant management needs of our clients and that they align with the organization’s mission and vision.
In advising C-Suite leaders throughout the education, nonprofit, government and business sectors, I provide effective and efficient solutions that contribute to transparent and data-driven decision making.
I have had the opportunity to share my expertise both domestically and abroad and have secured over $110,000,000.00 supporting infrastructure, programmatic and startup funds in nonprofit, education and small business sectors and delivered an average of 300 hours of coaching and 100 hours of direct training per year. I work smart and hard for my clients to help them achieve their goals.
When I’m not working I have a tendency to stay busy with creative writing projects that really don’t feel like work…but I’m also a travel addict, photographer and occasional filmmaker. What can I say, I LOVE telling stories! I’d love to connect with you to see how I can help you and or your organization meet your goals. You can find me at www.askyoungblood.com.
