With a Master degree in Management & Industrial Engineering from IST - Lisbon, I’m a business process consultant at VP Consulting, a Portuguese consultancy firm and software developer focused in Business Transformation solutions. As a consultant, I’m used to work closely to our clients with whom I usually perform process analysis, mapping and (re)design activities in order to (re)build and improve their business architecture before bridging their needs with our development teams.
I will be able to contribute to any company with the experience obtained in international projects such as the analysis and redesign of the business architecture of one of Brazil’s biggest logistics companies, where I was responsible for the mapping and redesign of their value chain, for the mapping and conversion to BPMN of their business processes (403 processes mapped), for designing their risk identification and evaluation method through their processes and coordinating the transition to our BPM based solutions via user story writing and solution vision definition. I will also be able to contribute with my manufacturing background in companies like Metalogalva where I’ve gained solid skills in project and operations management by managing from end-to-end over 22 million Euros in orders for steel structures and actively participating in Lean projects such as the design of supply chain management visual tools, KPIs and direct lean interventions on the factory’s shop floor. From my years in manufacturing, I brought the best practices: being process conscious and oriented to pursue continuous improvement and operational excellence, which I will certainly apply anywhere.
I consider myself a creative person, a team player and an open-minded learner. During my journey I have grown great interest in areas such as strategy management and execution, creative thinking applied to businesses, design thinking and applying lean concepts to interactions and user experience design.
When I'm not giving 100% at work I play electric lead guitar in a heavy groove/rock/psych band, I worship Gibson SGs and vintage amplifiers and I manage my visual blog: lightandshademg.tumblr.com. I'm also a surf enthusiast, a book lover, a traveller, a disciple of good taste and a social guy who loves a good talk and to share good moments.
