Mackenzie Carter

I am a hard working college student devoted to educational, professional, and inspirational success. I believe in pursuing passions and inspiring others along the way. As a current Senior at Cal Poly, SLO, I am pursuing a Business Major with a concentration in Information Systems. I am enrolled in our Honors program, serve on Sigma Kappa's Executive Board as Vice President of Scholarship, actively involved in Colleges Against Cancer, and a member of the Information Systems Association of Cal Poly.

In 2012 I had the priviledge to work as a Political Intern for Assemblywoman Shannon Grove at our State Capitol in Sacramento and this past summer as a Marketing and Information Systems Intern for Aperia Technologies in South San Francisco. Both very different, these internship opportunities have exuded the importance of leadership, dedication, and honesty in whichever profession I pursue.

This past Summer 2014 I had the priviledge to take two classes abroad in Madrid, Spain, traveling and studying from Portugal to Ireland for 6 weeks. This experience grew me as a student and individual in my view of the world, work ethic, and desire to pursue a career in which I can truly make a difference.

Faithful, inspirational, and much more, my Papa was and is my hero. I aspire to continue his legacy while writing my own, one day at a time.
