My first love has always been writing and word-play, and have been writing since I was very, very young — first writing by hand on paper before moving to a manual typewriter and then finally onto an electronic medium. (Let me tell you, those original methods of writing builds strong fingers!)
This was one of the reasons I took Journalism Arts at the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT) after graduating from high school. It wasn’t quite what I expected, but at least I picked up some decent photography skills! The photography abilities have come in handy since I have acted as an event photographer for some of my previous employers.
The journalism thing as a job didn’t work, so I returned home and got an office job.
I enjoy learning about the things that catch my interest. It’s led to some eclectic course choices such as web design, graphic design, petroleum land administration and Spanish.
While I will always return to writing and write SFF stories for my own enjoyment, I have had nonfiction articles printed in various publications.
