Dr. Marc Gerdisch serves as chief of cardiovascular and thoracic surgery at Franciscan St. Francis Health in Indianapolis. He concurrently fills the role of co-medical director of the hospital's Heart Valve Center. Dr. Marc Gerdisch considers it a privilege and an honor to help his patients, and has built his medical career upon a foundation of excellent communication and steady partnerships with patients and physicians alike.

Prior to his current appointments, Dr. Gerdisch served as both the director of cardiovascular surgery and the chairman of the robotic surgery committee at Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield, Illinois. During some of this time, he also led the hospital’s cancer committee.

Dr. Marc Gerdisch completed the majority of his formal education at Loyola University in Illinois, and received specialized training in Paris. Dr. Gerdisch is a senior partner with Cardiac Surgery Associates specializing in complex heart valve surgery and is a clinical assistant professor of thoracic and cardiovascular surgery at the Loyola University Medical Center in Chicago.

Dr. Marc Gerdisch earned his medical degree from Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine in Illinois, where he also completed his residency and fellowship in cardiovascular and thoracic surgery.
