Margaret Helthaler
Design Educator, Photographer, and Blogger in Neversink, New York
As a design educator, Margaret Helthaler has nearly 30 years of experience in the graphic design industry. She worked in advertising and as a typesetter and book interior designer prior to establishing a freelance business providing design services for non-profit organizations. She began teaching college level courses in 1997 and is currently an Assistant Online Program Director at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh Online Division.
As a photographer, Margaret enjoys exploring a variety of photographic techniques. Her landscape and nature photography is informed by a deep attachment to the rural topography of her home in New York's Catskill/Hudson Valley Region.
As a blogger, Margaret combines her design, photography and writing skills with her interest in promoting a whole food plant-based lifestyle. She started VeggiePrimer.com in 2015 where she develops and shares simple plant-based gluten-free recipes and health tips.
Margaret completed her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in graphic design at SUNY College at New Paltz, NY and her Master of Fine Arts degree in visual art at Lesley University, MA.
