and i thought travelling was a humbling experience...until i discovered that fishing really strips you off all the comforts. I chose to spend more than ten hours a day on the boat, four days in a row somewhere at the Marie River in the Amazon, for the thrill of casting at that enviable spot as the line goes taut...with the spool screaming as it goes tighter against a 25 pounder, Amazon Peacock Bass fighting to resist having a photo taken with me. No phones, no emails, just the heat, the humidity, the sweat, the near-breaking of my wrist with the hundred-plus casting of my deep diving lure, targeting the same, sweet spot where my fishing extraordinaire partner Ricky initially casts with his woodchopper; the vulnerability of being lost in our surrounds, where no one would know where you were, off the grid...and the fight that goes on for eternity, to be able to simply hold and pose with this beautiful, yet elusive fish.

I love my fishing and my dream would be for one day to seamlessly continue on with my work (teaching Hypnotherapy and the power of healing oneself to as many people as I can) regardless of where my adventure leader would take me (fishing). Recently, we went to PNG to target black bass however the peacock bass remains my favourite! See where we go and our favourite spots at www.hookedon.org and some of our self-published adventures at blurb.com (search for Dizon & Harris)...

Working and playing? I continuously toy with the idea, despite being a virtual and realistic impossibility - hahaha! sometimes i like to make myself laugh!
