Marianne Virgili

Under the leadership of Marianne Virgili, the Glenwood Springs Chamber Resort Association has achieved extraordinary national recognition.

The Glenwood Springs Chamber Resort Association has garnered 16 ACE awards from the American Chamber of Commerce Executives for its publications and websites. Marianne Virgili, who edits and publishes the Official Insider's Guide to Glenwood Springs, has won the North American Travel Journalists Association's award for travel writing. Identified as a top-ranked small/medium-sized chamber three separate years, the Glenwood Springs Chamber Resort Association remains a model for similar organizations across the country.

In addition to her other activities with the Glenwood Springs Chamber Resort Association, Marianne Virgili manages the Visitor Information Center and leads the Glenwood Springs Film Commission. Marianna Virgili is also past Chair of the U.S. Chamber's West Institute for Organization Management and a member of the Western Association of Convention and Visitor Bureaus.

A dedicated philanthropist, Marianne Virgili offers her support to several local and national charitable organizations. President William Clinton bestowed a Daily Point of Light Award upon Marianne Virgili for her work mentoring a high school youth group, and Colorado Governor Roy Romer presented the Glenwood Springs Chamber Resort Association with an Outstanding Youth Philanthropy Award.

Marianne Virgili graduated from Kent State University cum laude. At Kent State, Marianne Virgili participated in a number of academic groups, including Pi Gamma Mu and Alpha Lambda Delta honor societies. The president of Alpha Xi Delta Sorority, Marianne Virgili was a recipient of the group's leadership award.
