Marina Scalerandi

Teacher, Translator, and Instructional Designer in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

I have been working professionally for more than 20 years in the field of translation and foreign language teaching and more than 6 years as a trainer in the implementation of ICT-mediated teaching and learning processes. Today, I’m looking forward to transferring all my experience and skills into new global innovative projects or ventures in the field of education and multilingual communication.

I hold a university degree in translation granted by the University of Belgrano in Buenos Aires, Argentina (Certified Literary and Scientific-Technical Translator), and received a Bachelor of Italian Language and Culture from the University of Pisa, Italy.

As to my postgraduate studies, I am a Specialist in Education and New Technologies (degree granted by the Latin-American University of Social Studies, FLACSO) and I am currently finishing my Master’s in Cognitive Psychology and Learning offered jointly by FLACSO and the Autonomous University of Madrid. Academic situation: thesis project approved. Thesis in progress.

Regarding my work history, after having worked for more than 10 years as an in-company foreign language teacher in many Argentine and international companies, in 2014 I began working as a professor and tutor in blended or e-learning environments for different universities and tertiary level institutions in Argentina.

Besides, regarding secondary education, I have been working since 2017 at the Ministry of Education of the City of Buenos Aires as Digital Pedagogical Facilitator in charge of training teachers of secondary public schools for them to be able to work and implement blended or e-learning environments.

As a professional translator and linguist, I have more than 20 years of experience in leading multilingual teams specialized in providing multilingual communication services.
