Marina Richards

Hello. I grew up and went to school in L.A., graduated college in Kentucky, and now live outside of Boston.

I used to be an advertising copywriter, won some awards, did the girl-in-the-big-city thing. My fiction has been published in Scalped, Blood Lotus, Greatest Uncommon Denominator Magazine, The Hawaii Pacific Review, The Legendary, Pear Noir, Up The Staircase, Six Sentences, Foliate Oak, and Writer’s Bloc (Rutgers University).

My short story, Lena, was nominated by editors for the 2010 storySouth Million Writer’s Award. I've also won the RWA Emily Award for Best Historical.

When not writing, I'm thinking about writing or pacing or eating Skittles. I also watch shows about serial killers and dangerous, exotic animals.
