Mario Govic

Mario Govic is the Founder and President of Govic Capital, an independent private wealth management firm in Sarasota, Florida. He has spent more than 25 years in financial services, beginning on Wall Street in 1999, a few months after he moved to the New York City area from Germany, where he was raised and educated.

He joined MetLife in 2006 and served six years on its Chairman's Council. In 2012, when his clients wanted more autonomy and broader unbiased investment solutions than a corporate umbrella could offer, he founded Govic Capital. He is also the founder and general partner of Civog Capital Management, LLC and portfolio manager of Civog Capital Advisors, LLC, which focus on tax-efficient alternative investments.

As a wealth manager, investment advisor and insurance agent, Mario helps high-net-worth individuals and families with value and income investing, capital preservation, multigenerational planning and alternative investments. The National Federation of Croatian Americans Cultural Foundation named him to its 40 Under 40 in 2017. He is married to Ann Marie and has two children; his daughter, Marissa, is Govic Capital's Marketing Director. Family, food and travel fill the rest of his time.
