Mark Dabbs Walsall Running Ambassador

As Walsall's Running Ambassador and author of the romance novel ''Untoward Occurrence'' Mark Dabbs has run in more than 60 foreign city marathons across the globe including New York, New Orleans, Memphis, Moscow, Paris, Brussells, Berlin, Oslo, Beijing, Cape Town, Auckland, Melbourne and Jerusalem. He has traveled the country and been received by more than 100 Mayors as well as many worldwide. He has been presented to President Mandela, Prime Minister Gordon Brown at Downing Street and also Archbishop Desmond Tutu. A frequent contributer to the ''Black Country Bugle'' his cartoons have amused many and his local history articles have proved of interest to all. He has been welcomed to the House of Lords recently and has received proclaimations from many towns. The subject of many magazine articles and also appeared on Central News, Midalnds Today, BBC 2's ''Weakest Link'', ''Dickinson's Real Deal'', BBC South West, Radio Three Counties, WCR Radio and many other stations. He has also been pictured and met many well known faces on his scarf travels such as Joan Collins, Ernest Borgnine, George Lazenby, Leslie Nielsen, Sussannah York and received many invites from other well known faces during performances backstage with Roy ''Chubby'' Brown, Jane McDonald and Ken Dodd.
