Mark Westfall Charlotte
Experienced in domestic and global markets, Mark Westfall has directed marketing and sales programs for major corporations, accumulating a depth of knowledge in restructuring, turnarounds, and acquisitions. His areas of expertise also include logistics, staffing, production, transportation, strategic planning, and brand and channel marketing. Mark Westfall played a key role in the expansion of a $210 million regional production into a global enterprise exceeding $1.2 billion, honing his skills in market analysis, profit and loss functions, and key account and capital equipment management.
At Kerr-McGee Chemical, LLC, based in Chicago, Mark Westfall rose from Sales Representative to Marketing Manager with responsibility for the profits and losses of a $100 million division. As such, he developed a global marketing plan that led to significant acquisitions and a repositioning of the company. Expanding the available market by 15 and then 20 percent, he improved market channels and assisted in making the company a dominant player in new markets. Subsequently, Mark Westfall accepted a position as Eastern U.S. and International Sales Manager for Omya, Inc., in Charlotte, North Carolina, where he led all sales groups and expanded key accounts. He also acted as Polymer Sales Manager USA for PCC Chemax, Inc., in Piedmont, South Carolina.
A former resident of Central America and conversant in Spanish, Mark Westfall graduated from Eastern Illinois University with a Bachelor of Science in Geology and a minor in Business Management. He has completed numerous professional development courses, including Franklin Covey Time Management Training, Dun & Bradstreet Credibility Corp. Profitability Analysis, and Kepner-Tregoe, Inc., Problem Solving and Decision Making training. A member and past President of the Society of Plastics Engineers, Mark Westfall currently serves as President of the CR&PC, a 1,400-member not-for-profit organization. He previously held longtime memberships in the Federation of Societies for Coatings Technology and the National Paint & Coatings Association.
