Marlee Kostiner is an award-winning journalist, writer, editor and researcher with over 15 years of editorial experience in digital and print media.

She has always had an obsessive tendency to research topics that interest her, which made journalism a natural fit. After a series of personal challenges in her late teens and 20s, therapy completely changed her life. She has become a passionate advocate for mental health, both for herself and for others.

After having her two children, she honed in on how mental health affects parents, children and the family unit. She is endlessly fascinated by child psychology and parenting methodology, particularly in terms of building emotional intelligence, empathy and resilience.

She is thrilled to combine her expertise in research, her craft of writing, and her passion for parenting psychology into one space with her series of children’s books.

Marlee is an award-winning journalist in feature writing and magazine editing. She sat as a judge for the National Magazine Awards and is a member of the SCBWI.
