Martin Kaleja

Associate Professor, Expert, and Consultant in Ostrava & Prague in Czechia

Doc. PhDr. et PhDr. Martin Kaleja, Ph.D., MBA, works as an academic worker in AMBIS UNIVERSITY, in the past we worked as the head of the Research Centre for Social Inclusion at Silesian University in Opava, the head of Department od Special Education at University of Ostrava. He also worked at University of Prešov in Slovakia, and as a professor at university in Czestochowa in Poland. He is a special educational needs teacher, and social pedagogue. In 2001, he started teaching at primary school as a Roma teaching assistant, becoming a teacher in 2002. He managed several projects focusing on school inclusion in a few of Czech cities, with including provision of support in education, building teams, cooperation and connecting them, establishment of a good communication mode, making school environment socially fair for the marginalized students in their education. His academic, research, pedagogical, lecturing and other professional activities concentrate on the following areas: inclusive approaches at school and social contexts, special educational needs of people with conduct disorder, manifestations of risk behaviour; social justice in education and multi and inter-cultural, and plurilingvism in education.
