A freelance gardener and florist based in New York City, Mary Catesby Halsey helps clients in the maintenance of their gardens, including soil amendments, mulching, root pruning, transplanting, and canopy pruning. Working with private and corporate clients, Mary Catesby Halsey advises on xeriscaping, creates green roofs, and offers guidance on water and energy conservation. In 2018, she opened MCH Floral Studio in New York City.
Actively involved in various community organizations, Ms. Halsey has served on the Southampton Hospital fundraising committee, as a board member of the Colonial Dames of America, and as a member of the New York Auxiliary of the Blue Ridge School. She is a former board member of the Blue Ridge School in Pennsylvania and a current member of Project Hope, a Parkinson's disease support group.
Ms. Halsey attended Katharine Gibbs School and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. In her free time, she sings with St. Luke in the Fields Summer Choir and the Dalton Chorale.
