Throughout her career in compliance, operations, and auditing, Mary Reece of Baltimore, MD, has leveraged her keen strategic acumen to drive change. She currently serves as a Compliance Director with Citi Independent Compliance Risk Management, a division of global financial services leader Citigroup. As such, Mary Reece has assumed leadership of a comprehensive initiative to enhance the company’s regulatory change management and regulatory inventory program.

Ms. Reece has contributed to the company’s Governance Risk and Control (GRC) programs, working towards a higher level of cross-program consistency. She has also worked to strengthen the organization’s Regulatory Control Matrix, which she has introduced in its updated form.

At the same time, Mary Reece has served as the director of strategy and projects as well as the testing head for prudential regulations and global functions. She comes to her role with more than two decades of experience with Citigroup, having served in a series of increasingly responsible positions since she joined as an auditor. She holds an MBA from Loyola University Maryland and a BS in Accounting and Business Administration from the University of Kansas.
