Massimo Dangelico
Founder and President in Naples, FL
An accomplished business professional who studied economics at New York University, Massimo Dangelico is the son of artist Giuseppe Dangelico, the celebrated figurative painter who is better known by his professional pseudonym Pino. Pino’s paintings, which prominently feature romantic characters rendered in soft lines and luminous colors, graced the covers of numerous romance novels from publishers such as Harlequin and Bantam. In 2001, roughly a decade before Pino’s death, Massimo Dangelico began selling and distributing his father’s work as the founder and president of Classic Publications.
Massimo Dangelico began Classic Publications in his parent’s basement with a bank loan of $50,000. Selling both original Pino paintings and prints of his work, he has generated more than $300 million in revenue to date. He is currently overseeing the production of a second edition of Pino: Figurative Master. Originally released in Asia in 2017, the first edition of this book has sold exceptionally well.
