Fitness Together franchisee Matt Gagliano has a broad background in health education, physical conditioning, and athletics. He studied the science of human movement at the University of Rhode Island and earned a bachelor of science in kinesiology. Interested in lifestyle practices for preventing illness, Matt Gagliano later completed a master’s degree in health and wellness education at Boston University. As an athlete, he participated in sports in school, and he continued playing competitive football and baseball until his mid-20s; he currently races in triathlons and other running events. He is raising money for the Tour De Cure as well as Run for Kids. Matt will participate in both the 62 mile Tour De Cure as well as the New York City Marathon this year.

After first establishing a Fitness Together franchise in Barrington, Rhode Island, Matt Gagliano opened a second location in the town of Lincoln. As the owner of the training centers, he oversees knowledgeable and motivated personal trainers and nutritionists who help clients adopt new lifestyle and exercise habits to improve their health and well-being. The Fitness Together system that Matt Gagliano and his staff have implemented integrates nutritional changes, science-based strength training, and Polar Heart Rate-monitored cardiovascular workouts with a signature client assessment process.

Mr. Gagliano’s Fitness Together locations earned Best of Rhode Island honors for three consecutive years. He serves as the Rhode Island area director for the franchise’s parent company, WellBiz Brands, Inc., and manages the expansion of Fitness Together across the state.

In addition to owning and operating his personal training studios Matt also works as an adjunct professor at Rhode Island College. He teaches Exercise Prescription to seniors graduating in Health Sciences.
