Matt Philpott
Yorkshire, England, United Kingdom
Hey there world, my name is Matt Philpott. I am an 18 Year-Old University Student from York, studying Music Production at Edge Hill University in Ormskirk, Lancashire. I have a great passion for music and aim to become an international recording artist in the future. It's always been a dream of mine to perform on the biggest stages in the world and bring music and joy to the people within it.
I released my debut E.P. "Changes" in June 2015 onto iTunes, Spotify, and over 20 other online retailers. This was partnered with live interviews and performances with BBC Radio, on their "Introducing" segment and multiple gigs, festivals and busking sessions around the Yorkshire area over the summer of 2015.
September saw me begin the new chapter of my life at Edge Hill University, where I study Music Performance on a 3-Year Course, with hopes of developing myself as an artist and a musician, as well as getting involved in the bustling music scenes of the nearby cities of Liverpool and Manchester.
Outside of music I am an all-round sports fanatic. Having spent over a decade playing for my local football team, Copmanthorpe FC, I am a massive football fan, supporting Tottenham Hotspur from the moment I took interest in the sport.
The last few years have also seen me take interest in a host of American-Based sports. I currently play for my University's American Football Team, The Edge Hill University Vikings, as a Wide Receiver and Kicker. In addition to this, I have developed a huge love for Ice Hockey and support the NHL's Chicago Blackhawks with great passion.
All in all though, I'm just a normal 18 Year-Old guy, just wanting to grasp life and do as much as humanly possible with it. Music is my dream and my goal. I will work as hard as I can to achieve this and develop myself to become the best I can be.
That's Me.
