Matthew Glafenhein is currently a student at a Palm Beach County high school. Though he enjoys multiple hobbies and interests, his achievements in sports stand out. Matthew Glafenhein has been especially active in multiple basketball-related activities over the years.

Glafenhein was a member of the United States Specialty Sports Association (USSSA) travel basketball team for three years. During this time, he played with the Jupiter Jaguars and the Cobras, and won awards, including the All Tournament Team award and the Tournament Most Valuable Player (MVP) award at the Southeast Regional Championship, as well as the Treasure Coast USSSA State Qualifier.

In earlier years, he participated in the Jupiter Tequesta Athletic Association (JTAA) as an offensive on the Jupiter Mitey Mite White Mustang team. In addition, Glafenhein was a member of the school basketball team during middle school.

Matthew Glafenhein's interest in basketball also plays a part in his charity efforts. He played in the annual Acreage B-Ball 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament to help the tournament's sponsors raise $15,000 for Home Safe, a local charity that serves victims of child abuse and domestic violence.

Apart from basketball, Matthew Glafenhein retains a keen interest in golf, tennis, and football. Glafenhein also volunteers at The River Center, a local aquarium in Jupiter, where he is responsible for helping out with daily operations and caring for the aquarium exhibits. He is deeply interested in saltwater fishing, and would like to captain a fishing boat. In the near future, Glafenhein would like to obtain his real estate license and start a business in this field.
