Matthew Michalek
Matthew Michalek, Vice President of Operations for general contractor and facilities maintenance company L.R. Costanzo Co., Inc., fills a substantial, high-visibility role in the professional community and the cities of Scranton and Allentown, Pennsylvania. A member of The Greater Scranton Chamber of Commerce, the Greater Hazelton Chamber of Commerce, and The Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce, Matthew Michalek has also served on community zoning bodies. In the past, he served on the Dunmore Borough Zoning Commission, and sat on the Dunmore Borough Planning Commission. Matthew Michalek chairs the Construction Committee as well as serving as a board member for the local chapter of Habitat for Humanity International. Like many other employees of L.R. Costanzo Co., Inc., Matthew Michalek has offered volunteer labor and donations to various charities at the local and national level. Matthew Michalek has supported the work of Habitat for Humanity, a nonprofit that aims to provide affordable housing for those in need. Staff members at L.R. Costanzo Co., Inc. have also donated to the environmental efforts of the Pinchot Institute for Conservation, participated in the 5K Race and Fun Walk to benefit Ronald McDonald House Charities, and given to the Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation.
As a general contracting executive and former carpenter, Matthew Michalek belongs to the Northeast Pennsylvania Manufacturers and Employers Association, the Pike County Builders Association, and the Mid Atlantic BX. At the national level, he belongs to The American Society of Safety Engineers and the National Safety Council. In his role as the L.R. Costanzo Co., Inc. executive primarily responsible for employee evaluation and promotion, Matthew Michalek maintains a membership in the Society for Human Resource Management. Since the company has contracted in the past to build cleanrooms and laboratory facilities for The American National Red Cross, Matthew Michalek has also actively participated as a member of the International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineering.
