For more than 27 years, Medhat Gorgy has served as the president and chief executive officer of PYRAMID Laboratories, Inc. in Costa Mesa, California. He plays a central role in all new-product development and validation, as well as the design and review of QA programs for devices, drugs, and biologics. In addition to creating training programs and ensuring high-quality validations of various assays and equipment, Medhat Gorgy draws upon Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) to conduct internal and external audits.

Medhat Gorgy holds a master of science in biochemistry from Alexandria University in Egypt. In 2009, he was named the Small Business Person of the Year by the Santa Ana District Office of the U.S. Small Business Administration.

Mr. Gorgy is a member of the American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists (AAPS) and the Parenteral Drug Association (PDA). He enjoys reading and traveling in his free time.
