A prominent engineer with significant experience in the field of environmental epidemiology, Dr. Mehrdad Javaherian has focused his professional activity on the quantitative assessment and management of chemical contamination in a variety of media. He currently works as a remediation consultant to several branches of the U.S. Armed Forces and the Pacific Gas & Electric Company (PG&E). A technical contributor to Environmental Public Health Today, Dr. Mehrdad Javaherian has served as a consulting epidemiologist/health risk assessor to the Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry (ATSDR) and the California Department of Public Health (CDPH).

Dr. Mehrdad Javaherian completed his PhD in epidemiology, with his researched focused on the impact of sustainable best-management practices on carbon dioxide emissions resulting from hazardous waste site remediation. He also holds a master of public health (MPH) and a bachelor of science in civil and environmental engineering. He serves as Principal Consultant with Endpoint Consulting, Inc., serving federal clients, and to LRM Consulting, Inc., serving commercial clients.
