I am a native of Snow Hill, Alabama. Both of my parents were educators like myself. At an early age, I developed a love of all things scientific. I completed high school at Ursuline Academy in New Orleans. I received my college degree from Princeton University in New Jersey, majoring in psychology, where I also completed the teacher certification program in science education. I earned a Master's in Education degree from The College of New Jersey, with a focus in urban Education and a Reading Specialist Certification. I have over 30 years experience as a science educator. I have taught at George Washington Carver High School in New Orleans, J.S. Clark Middle School and Booker T. Washington Jr./Sr. High School in Shreveport, Louisiana. Currently, I teach life science to 7th graders at Lakeshore Middle School in Shreveport, Louisiana.
