Mia C. Villanueva
Mia Villanueva has over 12 years experience working in content creation and business development for numerous companies in entertainment and the arts. Mia first gained attention when the Asian American International Film Festival named her a "Director to Watch For" and she was featured in DGA magazine. Mia possesses a rare combination of genuine creativity and business acumen. As a content creator (Writer/Director) and business consultant (Producing/Business Development/Fundraising), Mia has created content and collaborated on productions for MTV International, U.S. Embassy, Malaysian AIDS Council, T-Mobile, Sundance Award winning "Pura Lengua", Gilead Sciences, Community Coalition, Xerox, and several others. In addition, Mia has enjoyed stints as an entertainment recruiter, a career counselor for artists, a ghost writer, and as a business development consultant (specializing in entertainment). She has worked for companies such as DreamWorks, Film Independent (formerly IFP/LA), Workplace Hollywood, Screen Actors Guild, Parsons The New School for Design, and National Geographic Channel. Additionally, Mia is a Founder of the documentary production company, The Narra Group, and has served on Grant Review Committees for the Entertainment Industry Foundation. Organizations such as The Women's Foundation of California, Visual Communications, Atlantic Center for the Arts and the Kauffman Foundation have supported Mia through fellowships and grants. Her work has screened throughout the U.S. and internationally.
