In addition to industry leadership, Michael has advised state, regional, and national policymakers on UAS and AAM policy. He previously served as Legislative & Policy Chair for the North Central Texas Council of Governments UAS Taskforce and was appointed to Texas HB2340 (Public Safety UAS) and SB763 (Advanced Air Mobility) committees, contributing directly to uncrewed aviation policy development.
His public safety drone background includes service as Lieutenant and Director of Unmanned Operations for the Texas Wing of the Civil Air Patrol, supporting FEMA search-and-rescue missions, as well as Training Officer for the North Texas Public Safety Unmanned Response Team (PSURT).
Michael also serves as an Adjunct Professor in Uncrewed Aircraft Systems (UAS), delivering applied, workforce-focused drone training grounded in operational reality across multiple academic and workforce institutions.
He is a frequent speaker and advisor on enterprise drone adoption, public safety UAS, and commercial drone operations across critical infrastructure, energy, telecommunications, inspections, mapping, emergency response, and logistics—with a focus on compliant, mission-ready deployment
