With leadership experience including the development of regional legal services programs, Michael A. Millemann has been a professor at the University of Maryland's Francis King Carey School of Law for more than four decades. Michael A. Millemann oversees clinical and classroom courses, and has taught subjects such as Criminal Procedure, Constitutional Law, and Legal Ethics.

Professor Millemann has also created seminars in areas such as capital punishment and consumer protection. He developed a Child Abuse Prosecution Clinic in tandem with the Baltimore State’s Attorney’s Office, as well as an Empowerment Zone Clinic that enabled the creation of a network of community and economic development clinics.

Millemann’s past experience includes a role with the Maryland Office of the Attorney General in the early 1980s as chief of the Civil Division and chief general counsel. He focused on launching a civil law enforcement “preventive” program that employed internal reviews and legal audits in the implementation of state and federal laws. Michael A. Millemann also represented the State of Maryland in a high-profile case involving the recovery of nearly $250,000 in bribes paid to the late Spiro T. Agnew while he was state governor in the 1960s.
