Michael Belfonti

Based in Hamden, CT, Michael Belfonti is a seasoned executive with decades of experience in the real estate industry. He launched the Belfonti Companies in 1980, and grew it into a successful company that has completed billions of dollars worth of transactions. The organization encompasses multiple real estate-focused operations, and takes pride in its ability to identify and acquire economically sound, high-yield investment and development properties, many of which have been poorly managed or foreclosed upon. Michael Belfonti seeks out situations where he can apply his company’s entrepreneurial acumen and draw on his team’s expertise to research new markets and opportunities.

Michael Belfonti is also involved in several philanthropic endeavors. He has created two endowment funds at local private high schools in order to give scholarships to students who otherwise couldn’t afford tuition. He has also sat on the board of trustees and served as chairman of the development committee for Cheshire Academy, and currently sits on the school’s board of overseers.

Mr. Belfonti holds an MS in real estate from New York University, and also completed a 3-year program (OPM) through the Harvard School of Business.
