A New Jersey-based tech entrepreneur with a law enforcement background, Michael Coppola began his career as an EMT with the Hackensack Volunteer Ambulance Corps and later worked as a volunteer firefighter with the Rochelle Park Fire Department and West Paterson Fire Department. In the former role, he facilitated three successful pre-hospital CPR saves and seven pre-hospital child deliveries. For this and other work, he earned a letter of recognition from the New Jersey State First Aid Council. Michael Coppola began his law enforcement career in 1995 as a dispatcher with the Bergen County Sheriff's Department.

Following four years as a dispatcher and two years as a ranger with the New Jersey State Park Police, Michael Coppola began working as an officer with the Palisades Interstate Parkway Police Department (PIPPD). He spent 17 years with the department, rising to the rank of chief of police in 2014. Among other accomplishments as police chief, he improved the department's agency via re-designed patrol car graphics and officer uniforms as well as through his involvement in area organizations and other public outreach efforts.

Presently, Michael Coppola serves as president of CJIS Solutions, which he founded in 2012 while serving as lieutenant with the PIPPD. In addition to consulting services, the company offers secure mobility products and mission critical infrastructure such as data protection, disaster recovery, and cloud storage to law enforcement agencies.

Outside of his professional pursuits, he is a 9/11 survivor whose story has been featured on the A&E TV show 110 Stories. He also enjoys photography and has had his photos published in The New York Times, the Bergen Record, and Fire Rescue Magazine, among other publications.
