A resident of Chesapeake, Virginia, Michael Hockett began investing in short-term and vacation rental properties while serving as president and general manager at Tidewater Auto Auction. Over the past few years, the Virginia real estate has begun to generate revenue, allowing him to increase his assets while contributing to the building of churches internationally. Michael Hockett has also traveled to countries such as Guatemala to participate personally in the construction process.

Throughout his career in the auto auction world, he worked with companies such as ADESA Auctions Corporation and the Auto Dealers Exchange. He also became known for his introduction of AuctionMaster, the first auto auction software system for use on a PC, while heading Eagle Automation, which he founded in 1988.

Mr. Hockett has also contributed his experience serving on the board of directors for professional organizations such as the National Auto Auction Association (NAAA) and the Virginia Independent Auto Dealers Association (VIADA).

When away from work he enjoys boating, flying planes, and playing acoustic guitar for his church's contemporary music group.
