Michael Ludwell

A member of the New England School Development Council, the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development (ASCD), and the National School Boards Association, Michael Ludwell remains an established member of the educational community. Currently, Michael Ludwell serves as a superintendent for Northwood School District in New Hampshire. With more than 30 years of experience in education, Michael Ludwell contributes a wealth of knowledge to this role. Before his work with the Northwood School District, he acted as Superintendent for the Manchester School District, also in New Hampshire.

Michael Ludwell strives to decrease dropout rates and implement alternative education programs. In addition to his experience as Principal and Superintendent of several high schools Michael Ludwell has also gained much experience as a teacher, which greatly contributes to his insight into school policy and programs. Starting out as an elementary school teacher in Los Angeles, he went on to teach elementary in Parma, Idaho, and middle school and high school in Oregon and Wyoming.

Throughout his years spent as an educator, Michael Ludwell worked to develop special programs and courses for students of all levels of learning. Ready for Success, a transitional program that helps students transition from kindergarten to first grade, and the MAPA program, which prepares middle school students for regular classroom environments, are just two of the many educational programs Michael Ludwell helped to develop and implement.

A graduate of the University of Montana, where he earned his Master of Education, Michael Ludwell also earned an Education Specialist degree and Doctor of Philosophy from St. Louis University. In his free time, Michael Ludwell enjoys camping, reading, and listening to music. Involved in a number of non-profit organizations, Michael Ludwell supports The American National Red Cross and The Salvation Army, and volunteers with Boy Scouts of America.
