The recipient of a bachelor's degree in business management from Southern Connecticut State University, Michael J. Mangano began his career as an associate sales consultant at Synthes USA, where he sold trauma implants to traumatologists and on-call orthopedic surgeons. Michael Mangano later worked in similar sales capacities at Zimmer and Globus Medical before joining the Chicago, Illinois-based Helomics as a clinical oncology specialist in 2014. During his 2 years in this position, he managed nearly $2 million in business for the greater Chicago region, which was Helomics' fifth largest in volume, despite being its smallest geographically.

In his most recent role as account executive at Dell Technologies, Michael J. Mangano managed sales activities related to health care and higher education accounts. His team of client, networking, storage, and inside sales specialists accumulated $16 million in annual sales in its territory.
