Over his career, he has built infrastructures for renewables like solar and next-generation resources like hydrogen. For Power Engineers, Michael DiMercurio focuses on combined cycle power maintenance and construction for customers in the eastern United States.

Michael DiMercurio’s early energy engineering background encompasses years of service on a nuclear submarine in the U.S. Navy. Following that, he joined Air Products and Chemicals Inc., where he developed major international projects. For instance, he oversaw the engineering of air separation and hydrogen facilities in several parts of Asia, including Thailand and Korea. He would go on to become international project manager at British Oxygen Corporation Process Plants.

In recent years, Mr. DiMercurio honed his renewable energy skills as vice president of projects and construction with AREVA Solar. His responsibilities involved project leadership for solar facilities valued in the hundreds of millions of dollars.
