Michael W Sganga

Michael W. Sganga is a well established Northern California forensic expert who serves a Redwood City, California law office as senior scientist. Michael W. Sganga has held appointed and privately retained roles assisting trial lawyers in court settings requiring advanced DNA evaluation skills.

Having completed his doctoral work at Indiana University Bloomington in biology and microbial genetics, Mr. Sganga undertook National Institute of Mental Health funded research at San Francisco General Hospital from 1991 to 1996.

Mr. Sganga next accepted a position as a University of California, San Francisco Department of Neurology research assistant professor and oversaw a federal government molecular biology project focused on the mammalian brain. His work included research funded by the California Tobacco-Related Disease Research Project.

Respected in his field, Michael W. Sganga has served as Heald College adjunct instructor and taught community college classes in San Francisco and Roseville. He holds a juris doctor earned at the New College of California School of Law and is presently enrolled in an education credentialing program at Notre Dame De Namur University.
