THE PEACOCK & ME

. The Peacock

I have always had an affinity for the beautiful hues and colors of the peacock. Their regal looking plumes and feathers underscore an even more fascinating story of this ancient, and for many, sacred bird. It is interesting to note that the blue, green and purple palette most associated with the peacock is not indigenous to the species.

In fact, their color is derived from pigment particles that combine and embed themselves into the peacock's newly grown feathers each year. When light shines onto these encrusted particles, thousands of glimmering colored spots are reflected and register as vibrant earth and jewel tones to the naked eye, emanating the majestic hues that have become so synonymous with the peacock.

  • Me

Like the peacock's feathery plumes, my career is a culmination of various particles (e.g. experiences and lessons) learned throughout my ten plus years of work in office administration. I have had the opportunity to work in various industries as an assistant serving senior level staff. The discipline and demand for detail required to manage an executive office translated well to my work in special events, reinforcing essential organizational and critical thinking skills that have strengthened my effectiveness and value as an employee.

  • My Feathers

In addition to my ability to coordinate the logistics of multifaceted day-to-day office activities and special projects, I am a team player able to work well with and for others. I also come with a proficient skill set which includes:

Document Preparation • Budget & Account Management • Schedule & Itinerary Coordination • Vendor Contract Negotiations• Assignment & Product Research • Data Entry & Record Keeping • Staff Training
