Randy Kwilinski created Rain Drain Seamless Guttering in his parents’ pole barn just outside of Middlebury, Indiana. With a single machine, a dedication to quality service, and insight enough to see that a need was not being met, Randy’s business quickly gained a solid reputation.

It didn’t take long for word to get around that Randy offered reliable, on-time service, the best quality available, and affordable prices, and in 2000, he added an Englert LeafGuard franchise. Randy knew LeafGuard would deliver to his customers, providing its revolutionary brand of seamless, free-flowing gutters with a unique, hood-covered trough.

With the addition of the LeafGuard franchise his business grew yet again, and Randy installed a new facility on State Road 15 in Goshen. Today, Michiana LeafGuard serves all of Michigan and Northern Indiana with 18 employees, 11 trucks and six machines—and Randy and his team are able to handle the growing volume while still delivering personal service to each of his customers.

Soon however, Randy saw another need to be filled. Most providers are limited in scope even though guttering is often performed in conjunction with roofing and siding projects. Customers often needed to bring in two or three companies to service just one project. Today, Michiana LeafGuard has a certified roofing crew that can handle every need. In addition, Michiana LeafGuard now offers traditional asphalt roofing, durable standing seam steel and stone coated steel roofing options. A full complement of vinyl siding, soffit and fascia choices make any project complete, and Michiana LeafGuard and Rain Drain Seamless Guttering Inc. has become a one stop shop for all of your needs.

Since 1996, Michiana LeafGuard has grown from that one-man operation in Randy’s parents’ pole barn, to an 18-person family operation (20, if you count Randy’s two friendly Weimaraners, Rigley and Riley). If you come by the busy office, you’ll get a chance to visit with Randy, along with his sister Cheryl and mom Sally in the front office. Chuck and Dave run the Sales department, and are always happy to answer your questions, Anne manages marketing and human resources, and Randy’s father-in-law Denny coordinates all scheduling and installations. Installers Dustin and Nick have been on the job for several years, and you’ll be sure to see their smiling faces at the job site when you schedule your next project.
