Microsoft Youth Hubs

UK Youth

The Microsoft Youth IT Hub Project, a National Youth Digital Literacy project - is a partnership between UK Youth and Microsoft. We are now in our second successful year.

All Microsoft Youth IT Hubs aim to empower and train young people to become peer educators, offer opportunities for young people to develop their skills in digital literacy, inform young people of the continuing changes in technology and inspire young people to seek a career in technology.

UK Youth & Microsoft are supporting 65 youth projects across the country to be active members of the Microsoft Youth Hubs network. Each Microsoft Youth Hub will have access to equipment, knowledge and resources which will enable them to run a peer education programme, ensuring a wider group of young people have improved IT knowledge, access and other skills relevant to the digital workplace.

Each Hub recruits and supports 3 young people aged 16-25 as IT Champions. These IT Champions take the lead in the planning and delivery of their Hub, and act as ambassadors of the overall project.
