Mike Dingeldein
High Prairie
With over 30 years experience in the HVAC industry, Mike Dingeldein brings the experience, knowledge, trust, and skill to get the job done from start to finish including all details in between.
Mike started his Sheet Metal Worker career in 1993 with a Grande Prairie HVAC industry leader which supported both personal & professional growth which allowed Mike to climb through the ranks becoming key personnel, helping to manage the commercial HVAC division.
Mike attained his red seal journeyman certification in 1998, and continued through the years taking various safety courses, leadership courses, and business courses offered through the local construction association as well as the Alberta Construction Safety Association.
It was in 2005 when an opportunity presented itself to be a part of a new start-up sheet metal company. Mike took this challenge to task helping grow this company from three employee's to over 40 employee's with annual gross revenues in excess of 5 million.
The writing was on the wall in 2009 when the economy in Alberta faced a downturn, it was time for forward thinking and that's when Mike teamed up with a longtime coworker and formed Integrity Heating & Air Conditioning Ltd. focusing on residential & commercial HV AC contracting. In nine short years the company grew from the two owners working out of a truck and a rented office to a full service 5,000 sq ft state of the art sheet metal fabrication & welding shop with close to 30 employee's doing commercial projects throughout northern Alberta & BC. In 2018 the company was acquired by a large mechanical contracting firm where Mike stayed on for the transition period before moving on.
Mike took on a project in High Prairie in 2019 working for a mechanical firm building the new Northern Lakes College Campus. This is where roots were planted and upon successful completion of the project Mike moved forward as the owner operator of Smoky River Contracting in High Prairie, Alberta. Starting with a truck & trailer working out of a seacan storage, Mike now operates the business from a 6,250 sq ft commercial building purchased in High Prairie in 2022.
Smoky River Contracting became the local authorized Lennox Dealer for High Prairie in 2023, and focusses on serving the community for residential heating & air conditioning needs. Smoky River contracting also performs other home improvement work such as renovations, roofing, kitchens, bathroom remodels, and exteriors!
