A former resident of Yonkers, NY, who currently resides in Mount Vernon, Michael "Mike" Paulercio has served as director of consumer protection with the City of Mount Vernon since 2005. His position involves testing and inspecting all commercial weighing and measuring devices in Mount Vernon to ensure that they are accurate and functioning properly. Mike Paulercio also fields public complaints and investigates specific instances of consumer fraud wherever and whenever they occur, often providing critical support to the Mount Vernon Police Department. In 2017, he partnered with the Mount Vernon Corporation Counsel to infiltrate the black-market cigarette market and confiscate thousands of illegal cigarette packs, which did not have New York State tax stamps.

Outside of the professional arena, Michael Paulercio is a fitness enthusiast who regularly lifts weights and cooks healthy meals. He is also an avid cocktail mixologist and off-shore fisherman. Mr. Paulercio recently took a memorable fishing trip while vacationing in Costa Rica.
