I thus benefits to present to you ...

I am a Cameroonian musician. I play traditional instruments of the equatorial forest !:

- A string (Mvet, Ngomo) traditional harps

- A wind (pygmies flutes, leaves, Arc of mouth ...)

- From percussion: nkul (Tam tam call) Ngom (long drum)

- Bodily (Snail Shell and hazelnut) and body percussion.

I also Storyteller and actor. self-taught luthier, I especially tinkers traditional instruments (Equatorial Central Africa) Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, Cameroon ...

In 2005, in Paris, I initiated the musical project Abakuya through a meeting in Switzerland with an Australian bassist (Jimi Sofo) http://www.myspace.com/abakuya

This project will be born two disc auto production including:

- Primitive Love 2008

- Ep Abakuya in 2010

I collaborated with different artists between time and benefited from experiences in various cultural projects. (Painting, Music, African tales, theater, performance ...)

Apart from the concerts, I offer workshops on rhythm, discover the traditional instruments of the equatorial forest, storytelling.Author of four books of bilingual and illustrated tales out by Editions L'Harmattan, tales from harvesting the work of these tales, rituals and sing fable of Ekang Culture (south Cameroon) I do throughout my travels. ..

For purposes of cultural promotion Ekang and endangered instruments in Africa équatrotiale I factory in Paris (with the assistance of students from LAM (Acoustic Music Laboratory) in a workshop (Rue Sedaine) in Paris, some of these instruments to make them credible.

I am going to meet the artists and the modern instruments to share my experience and my culture to the greatest number.

It was from these meetings that the current musical project is born I'm trying to promote, "Francois Essindi and TAG Ekang Music Experiences ..."

This project would bring together musicians from all backgrounds, machinery and instruments. For now, I'm doing concerts in Solo and group 3 or 4 musicians.

So I work with the help of the Association Akiba we upgraded to support all these projects, for any contract ...

This association is also working on a project to establish a cultural center in Cameroon.
