Misty Whitehead
Holly Springs, Mississippi
I graduated from The University of Mississippi in 2008 with a BA in Art, focusing on graphic design, and a minor in Spanish. While I was at Ole Miss, I participated in many extra curriculars including the NCAA rifle team, color guard with the marching band, concert band, Women's Glee and Women's Ensemble, The Ole Miss yearbook, Sigma Alpha Iota (Alpha Omega chapter), and more. After graduation, I spent some time working at Vera Bradley in Germantown, TN, selling my favorite products. I started graduate school at Mississippi State University in January of 2014 in pursuit of my MA in Teaching Secondary. I received my Class A teaching license for the state of Mississippi in May of 2014 with endorsements in art education and Spanish, while seeking endorsements in computer applications and music education.
I am a current member of Sigma Alpha Iota, International Music Fraternity's Memphis Alumnae chapter, and am serving as Editor since March 2013. I am also a member of the First Baptist Church of Holly Springs where I participate in the choir and orchestra.
In my spare time, I like to play with my two dogs, Penny (a miniature pinscher) and Blue (a boxer/lab mix), and playing music. I also enjoy spending time with my husband, Dustin.
