I am a Managing Director with the entrepreneurial, innovative and award-winning consultancy, Redington.

Since joining in May 2013, my primary areas of focus at Redington have been: Business Development, Communications and Marketing;Strategy work with the Executive Committee (Exco);Fund Manager Research Process;RedSTART, our financial education charity.

Between 2005 and 2012 I held a number of senior roles at Henderson Global Investors, a FTSE 250 independent fund management company - from Product Specialist, to Director of Business Innovation and Head of Fixed Income.

Before Henderson, I worked at Watson Wyatt LLP (now Willis Towers Watson) as a Senior Investment Consultant, specialising in Fixed Income Manager Research. My career began at Aon Consulting as an investment analyst, where I completed the bulk of my actuarial exams (Institute of Actuaries). I qualified from the London School of Economics with a BSc (Hons) in Actuarial Science in 1999. After graduating, I spent a year in India studying at Tatvagnan Vidhyapeeth (School of Philosophy).

I am a Gujarati Indian by background. I have relatives in North America, Canada, South Africa, Kenya, India, Australia and Malaysia. My grandfather, and his ancestors before him, were food-artists who created beautiful and delicious Indian sweets and snacks (Bhagwanji Hansraj & Sons). They had travelled by boat from Porbandar (Gandhi's birthplace), on the coast in Gujarat, to East Africa in the 1930s. My dad still talks about how his father used to sell freshly made snacks outside his school everyday at home time.

I was born in Bolton, Lancashire; lived in India from the age of 3-8 and then returned to do primary and secondary school in Crawley, West Sussex. I left Crawley, in 1996, to study at the London School of Economics. One of my highlights from school was being selected to join the National Youth Theatre, where I trained and performed for a couple of summers. I went on to hire the Royal Albert Hall (RAH) with 3 friends and together we produced 'Madhurasha: A beautiful hope' the RAH's first show for students, by students, with over 100 students performing on stage.

I got married to the love of my life, Chaitalee, at the age of 20 (co-incidentally the same age that my parents married). We have 3 children, Siyani, Pranay & Dhwani. Striving to be a good husband and a good father are very important goals in my life.
