The B2 campus includes residential, commercial, and

industrial scale facilities with energy and water infrastruc-

ture similar to any municipality. The B2 microgrid permits

grid-scale experimentation without disrupting produc-

tion, affecting critical infrastructure, or inconveniencing

customers. The B2 campus provides a setting for scal-

able research on the integration of physical and biologi-

cal systems to provide ecosystem services in cities.
