With over 23 years of diverse experience in journalism, media management, and public relations, I have dedicated my career to uncovering stories, leading teams, and driving impactful change in the media landscape. My journey began with a passion for storytelling and evolved into a multidimensional role that combines strategic leadership, innovative content creation, and a relentless pursuit of journalistic excellence.

A Legacy in Journalism

My professional career spans more than two decades, with 21 years devoted to journalism. I’ve had the privilege of working with some of the most prestigious media houses in Bangladesh, taking on leadership roles that allowed me to shape narratives, mentor teams, and cover critical issues affecting our nation.

Starting as a contributing reporter for Bichitra in 1996, I gradually climbed the ladder to become Deputy Editor at Bangladesh First, where I currently oversee the editorial process and lead strategic decision-making. Along the way, I’ve held influential positions such as Chief Reporter at The Business Standard, Dainik Bangla, and Special Correspondent and Chief Reporter at Daily Sun.

My work has focused on significant beats including anti-corruption, diplomacy, governance, and elections, enabling me to contribute meaningfully to public discourse. Additionally, my tenure at Prothom Alo involved pioneering digital media initiatives, where I established a robust social media presence.

Leadership and Innovation

As a leader, I have managed teams of up to 100 correspondents and newsroom staff, ensuring high-quality reporting while fostering an environment of collaboration and professional growth. My time at ABC Radio as Chief Reporter allowed me to lead a 24/7 newsroom, formulating policies and streamlining operations for maximum efficiency.

Academic and Professional Excellence

I hold an MBA in Marketing from the Asian University of Bangladesh, graduating with a stellar CGPA of 3.92/4 . My academic journey also includes an MSS in International Relations from Dhaka University.

Over the years, I’ve also completed specialized training programs in investigative journalism, diplomatic relations, and broadcast journalism, enhancing my ability to tackle modern challenges in media and communication.
