Christopher Kirkham

I'm Christopher Kirkham, aged 21 and currently a third year Media Studies student at the University of Brighton in the United Kingdom and will be graduating July 2012.

During my university life I have covered a range of modules and topics such as learning about the 'creative industries' to understanding and analysing film and television. Other modules that I attended included Popular Music, Communications for Development - which is concerned with setting up foundations for communications within underdeveloped countries, also Media Policy - which has allowed me to be able to see and understand how government policy concerning the media affects society. One of my favourite modules was Web Development in which I learnt how to construct a website using tools such as Photoshop and Dreamweaver whilst learning the importance of social media and the impact that it has.
