Steve Mulgrew

Bio

Hello. I'm Steve Mulgrew (a.k.a Mr Kairu) and I consider myself a British otaku (Japanese for geek or fanboy) due to my obsession with Japanese culture from Anime to Jrock (Especially of the Visual Kei varaity). I'm a friendly, outgoing guy who is open about things I'm enthusiastic about. I also love listening to music, which varys from Rock, Heavy Metal, 80s Snyth to music from films, anime and games

You're probably wondering why I call myself Mr Kairu. Well, I first came up withthe name back in 2010 by taking the Japanese name Kai and adding ru at the end of it. It had a good ring to it and I've been using it over the internet ever since.

Hobbies and Interests

Aside from anime and manga, I consider myself a Kaiju groupie (and yes I stole that from the film Pacific Rim for those of you in the know) due to my love of Japanese Giant Monsters. Especially Godzilla, whom I've been a fan of since 7 years old. I'm also and avid gamer who plays on games ranging from Beat 'Em Ups to Action games. Currently I own an Xbox 360, PSP, Playstation 2, Game Gear and Sega Saturn. I'm hoping to own a 3DS and a PS3 sometime this year. I'm not looking into getting and Xbox One or PS4 just yet due to various reasons.

I also enjoy making videos for YouTube from Anime Music Videos (AMVs) to video reviews on action figures I own.

Aside from an unwavering dedication to my hobbies, I have a keen interest in acting. I've been in some amiture productions and had parts in two small local films.
